St. Vincent To Perform At Los Angeles Philharmonic Concert Honoring Yoko Ono
On March 22 a celebration concert in tribute to the life and work of Yoko Ono will be held by the Los Angeles Philharmonic with musical guests including GRAMMY winners La Marisoul and St. Vincent and GRAMMY nominees Shirley Manson of Garbage and We Are King.
The concert's title, "BREATHEWATCHLISTENTOUCH: The Work and Music of Yoko Ono," is a reference to Ono's Dance Piece X and its poem, "Breathe / Watch / Listen / Touch / and move between / the Earth / and the Sky."
Girlschool LA helped produce the celebration, the festival organizer founded by the Airborne Toxic Event's Anna Bulbrook in 2016 to support an "interdisciplinary community of women-identified artists, leaders, and voices who together only shine more brightly."
