Re:Generation To Make Worldwide TV Premiere Aug. 17 On Fuse
What are the musical results when the worlds of electronica and classic rock collide? What happens when you mix a DJ with hip-hop and a symphony orchestra? What transpires when a leading electronica duo re-examines classic R&B?
Find out during the worldwide TV premiere of Re:Generation on Fuse Aug. 17 at 10 p.m.
Presented by The Recording Academy and Hyundai, Re:Generation chronicles the creative journey of leading DJs the Crystal Method, DJ Premier, Pretty Lights, and GRAMMY winners Mark Ronson and Skrillex as they interpret and put a new spin on traditional styles of music. From classical music and jazz to rock and funk, the DJs collaborate with some of music's top artists, including GRAMMY winners Erykah Badu, the Funk Brothers, LeAnn Rimes, and Dr. Ralph Stanley; Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipients the Doors; the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra; and Joseph "Zigaboo" Modeliste, Nas, Martha Reeves, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, and Trombone Shorty.
Directed by Amir Bar-Lev, Re:Generation was successfully premiered in February during GRAMMY Week and was also screened during South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, in March.
