Post Malone's 'Beerbongs & Bentleys' Breaks Streaming Record, Hits No. 1
Apparently, there's no such thing as a sophomore slump for Post Malone. The singer/songwriter/rapper's second album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, set streaming services ablaze last week on its way to breaking the record for most streams in one week and landing in the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
The previous record for most streams in one week belonged to Drake for his More Life album's first week performance back in March 2017. Post Malone also secured the biggest overall week of 2018, surpassing last week's new record set by J. Cole's KOD, according to Billboard.
Post Malone's debut album, 2016's Stoney, is also enjoying a resurgence at No. 9, earning him the rare honor of having two albums in the top 10. Stoney produced hits such as "White Iverson," "I Fall Apart," and "Congratulations" featuring Quavo of GRAMMY-nominated Atlanta rap group Migos.
Post Malone — whose real name is Austin Richard Post — is currently on tour with 21 Savage in the U.S. through late June, at which point the tour heads across the pond for European dates through late August. For a full list of tour dates, visit Post Malone's website.
