Pete Tong Unites Ibiza Classics, Symphony Orchestra For Special L.A. Show
British DJ and BBC Radio 1 on-air personality Pete Tong has put together a special treat for fans of classic dance music around the world. His show, Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics, will embark on an 8-date tour of Australia, the U.S. and the U.K. this November, with a key stop at L.A.'s historic Hollywood Bowl on Nov. 9.
The show will see the so-called "global ambassador of house music" spinning a playlist of some of the most iconic and formative classic dance tracks of all time, all the while accompanied by the 65-piece Heritage Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jules Buckley.
Tong has been a mainstay DJ in London and Ibiza since the early 2000s, and a veteran of the scene since the early 80s. His symphonic presentation of 'Ibiza Classics' promises, "the union of orchestral music and iconic dance tracks," in a format that he has already leveraged to sell out numerous stadium gigs in the U.K. and led to an official album release that took the No. 1 spot atop the U.K. albums chart.
Tickets for the Nov. 9 show at the Hollywood Bowl, the show's only stateside stop, are on sale now.
