Pedro Capo, Gabriel Edgar González Pérez and George Noriega won Song Of The Year For "Calma" At The 2019 Latin GRAMMYs.

"What a year, what a night," Capo, who was celebrating his birthday,  said during his acceptance speech. "Thanks for believing in me." He also gave a shout-out to his colleagues" "I try to emulate you, I share it with you."

The Puerto Rico singer won Best Urban Fusion/Performance earlier for the "Calma (Remix)" featuring Farruko earlier in the evening.

Other nominees included: Rubén Blades for "El País," Juan Luis Guerra for "Kitipun," Camila Cabello & Alejandro Sanz for "Mi Persona Favorita," Alejandro Sanz' "No Tengo Nada," Kany García & Tommy Torres' "Quédate," Rafael Arcaute, Alessia Cara, Camilo Echeverry, Juanes, Mauricio Montaner, Ricardo Montaner & Tainy for "Querer Mejor," Sebastián Yatra for "Un Año," Tiago Iorc for "Desconstrução" and Fonseca for "Ven."

The Latin Recording Academy Wins International Emmy Award For 20th Latin GRAMMY Awards Program

The coveted award comes days after the 2020 Latin GRAMMYs took the air

Just days after the Latin Recording Academy broadcast its 21st Latin GRAMMY Awards show on Nov. 19, it added an Emmy award to its legacy. 

The Latin Recording Academy's 20th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, broadcast in Nov. 2019, won for the International Emmy Award's Non-English Language U.S. Primetime Program category; it tied with "Reina Del Sur" Season 2.

The 20th Latin GRAMMYs, filmed live from Las Vegas, featured several memorable moments, including a performance by Alejandro Fernandez, his father, Vicente Fernandez, and his son, Alex Fernandez.

As we begin our third decade, The Latin GRAMMYs will continue to honor musical excellence and this peer-to-peer recognition is a tribute to the global power of Latin music and its makers."

The Emmy win came days after the 21st Latin GRAMMYs took the air. Winners from the 2020 show include Natalia Lafourcade for Album of the Year and Residente for Song of the Year.

Alejandro Sanz & Camila Cabello picked up their second Latin GRAMMY of the night for "Mi Persona Favorita" after winning the award for Best Record of the Year. The duo won earlier in the night for Best Pop Song.

Sanz dedicated the award to his mother, who passed away about eight years ago and would have celebrated her birthday tonight.

Other nominees in the category included "Parecen Viernes" by Marc Anthony, "Verdades Afiladas" by Andrés Calamaro, "Ahí Ahí" by Vicente García, "Kitipun" by Juan Luis Guerra. "Querer Mejor" by Juanes Featuring Alessia Cara, "La Plata" by Juanes Featuring Lalo Ebratt, "Aute Cuture by Rosalía and "Cobarde" by Ximena Sariñana.

Sanz was also nominated for "No Tengo Nada" in the same category and was nominated in seven other categories for the 20th Latin GRAMMYs.

The "Voy" singer wins her first Latin GRAMMY

Venezuelan artist Nella has won the Latin GRAMMY for Best New Artist tonight in Las Vegas at the 20th Annual Latin GRAMMYs.

The young pop singer released her debut album, Voy, earlier this year to positive reviews. It was produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer, composer, and guitarist Javier Limón.

Nella came out on top of a strong and diverse group of nominees for Best New Artist, which included Aitana, Burning Caravan, Cami, Fer Casillas, Chipi Chacón, Elsa y Elmar, Greeicy, Juan Ingaramo and Paulo Londra.

Bad Bunny wins his first Latin GRAMMY for his debut album

Puerto Rican musical sensation Bad Bunny has won Best Urban Music Album for his debut album, X 100Pre, at the 2019 Latin GRAMMYs in Las Vegas tonight.

The award is his first Latin GRAMMY in his career. He was nominated twice in 2017 for "Si Tu Novio Te Deja Solo," but didn't win.

Other nominees in the category include Anitta for Kisses, De La Ghetto for Mi Movimiento, Feid for 19, and Sech for Sueños.
