New Prince Book: Read A Taste Of Beyoncé's Foreword
Much can be said about the legacy of Prince, so much so that it would take many books to tell his story.
A stunning taste of his visual history will be highlighted with the publishing of Prince: A Private View, a book featuring intimate and never-before-seen photographs taken by Prince's longtime photographer and friend Afshin Shahidi. The book promises the "ultimate collection of shots of Prince" with "rich stories" about Shahidi's 10-year run of photographing the icon.
If a book chock full of rare, amazing Prince images isn't enough to get excited for, fans will also get a foreword from Beyoncé.
“Truth be told, the word ‘icon’ only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me," writes Beyoncé in the foreword.
Of course, Prince and Beyoncé's history dates back to the 46th GRAMMY Awards in 2004. The duo opened the telecast with an electric mash-up of his "Purple Rain" and her "Crazy In Love." The unforgettable experience was enough to leave Queen Bey in awe.
"I was on the stage with Prince?! Are you serious?" she told Giant magazine. "Of course I was terrified to be working with him. Walking into rehearsals, I was just so overwhelmed and nervous and starstruck."
