Maroon 5 have released a star-studded video for the remix of "Girls Like You" featuring an impressive lineup of dance cameos and a verse by the "Bodak Yellow" rapper herself, Cardi B.

The video revolves around Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine with a bevy of stars from the world of music, sports, entertainment, business and activism joining him, including Camila Cabello, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Lopez, Chloe Kim, Aly Raisman, Ellen DeGeneres, Tiffany Haddish, Gal Gadot, Rita Ora, and Sarah Silverman. Each time the camera completes a full circle around Levine, a new guest is revealed creating the appearance of a single take magically weaving in the all-star cast.

This remix of "Girls Like You" also gets the red-bottom treatment from GRAMMY-nominated rapper Cardi B, who drops a verse over the track just after Levine's intimate bridge section. Cardi's rap in a double-breasted yellow jacket as the camera continues to spin. The video's cast continues to grow through the final chorus before the Levine's wife and their four-month-old child are revealed as the singer embraces them. The whirlwind clip ends with the cast reappearing and standing tall.

"Girls Like You" was originally released on Maroon 5's sixth studio album, 2017's Red Pill Blues, which climbed to No. 2 on the Billboard 200 late last year. Cardi B's debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, dropped April 5 and debuted at No. 1.

Maroon 5 are currently out on the extensive Red Pill Blues Tour with Julia Michaels onboard as the supporting act. For a full list of tour dates and ticket information, visit the band's website.

After an unforgettable weekend one of Coachella 2018, many were left wondering, "What could possibly come next?" Their questions were answered weekend two as #Beychella continued, a pop superstar made a surprise appearance to perform her new single, and the new queen of rap brought the house down.

Beyoncé set a new standard weekend one, reuniting Destiny's Child, featuring surprise appearances by Jay-Z and Solange, and earning the highest YouTube livestream numbers ever. Not to be outdone by anyone, even herself, Bey returned with repeat reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, saying, "Give it up for my best friends," and her special husband and sister guests. She also added a new surprise with J Balvin joining her for "Mi Gente," resulting in a "more charming and off-the-cuff" performance, according to Rolling Stone, putting #Beychella 2018 to bed.

But the biggest surprise of weekend two came from an appearance by way of pop superstar Ariana Grande. After releasing "No Tears Left To Cry," the first single from her forthcoming album, Grande surprised the Coachella audience by performing the song after Norwegian DJ Kygo's set, sending her fans into a frenzy and causing them to launch the counter-hashtag #Arichella.

Cardi B played a guest-heavy set, bringing up Balvin and Bad Bunny for "I Like It" and welcoming SZA on stage to sing "I Do." Cardi's Sunday night set featured several selections from her debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 upon its release just one week prior.

Invasion Of Privacy – Cardi B

With the success of her breakout single, "Bodak Yellow," which earned two GRAMMY nominations for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance at the 60th GRAMMY Awards last year, Cardi B set the stage for one of the most anticipated debut rap albums in recent memory. Invasion Of Privacy arrived on April 5, 2018, and showed the Bronx-born and raised rapper had a lot more to show.

In June, "I Like It" with J Balvin and Bad Bunny made it to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making Cardi the first ever female rapper to earn two No. 1 hits. "I Like It" is also nominated for Record Of The Year, "Be Careful" received a nod for Best Rap Performance and Invasion Of Privacy is up for Best Rap Album this year. Tack on Cardi's nomination alongside Maroon 5 for "Girls Like You" for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance bring her total nominations this year to five.

By The Way, I Forgive You – Brandi Carlile

Since exploding from the folk music scene into the mainstream in 2007 with her the title track from her sophomore album, The Story, Brandi Carlile has released a string of quality folk/roots albums. Her latest, By The Way, I Forgive You, shows Carlile and longtime writing/singing partners, twins Tim and Phil Hanseroth, in top form. The album's lead single, "The Joke," encapsulates the spirit and power of love and forgiveness, two main themes of the album.

"I wrote 'The Joke' about a reckoning and a revolution and a time that's coming when we'll realize that love has already conquered the world and pick it back up," Carlile told us in July.

The album, Carlile's sixth, yielded the same number of GRAMMY nominations—an impressive six—for the 61st GRAMMY Awards, including Best Americana Album as well as Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance for "The Joke."

Scorpion – Drake

From the very beginning of 2018, chart titan Drake saw a groundswell of buzz for his fifth album, Scorpion. When it finally dropped in late June, the album already had three successful singles: "God's Plan," "Nice For What" and "I'm Upset." Shortly after the album's release, the album's fifth single, "In My Feelings," would climb to put Drake at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the third time of year. Simply put, the Canadian rapper spent the better part of the year shattering streaming and chart records, and the ambitious and hit-laden double-disc album Scorpion was well worth the wait for fans. The project was a hit for voters as well, as Drake clocked in with an impressive seven nominations for the 61st GRAMMY Awards.

H.E.R. – H.E.R.

With her soulful songs and jaw-dropping musicianship only further fueling the mystique of her persona, H.E.R. stepped into the light this year, releasing her widely acclaimed self-titled debut. Apropos of her moniker's meaning (Having Everything Revealed), H.E.R. showed the world her gift, with a breakthrough performance of "Focus" and "Best Part," both from her debut LP, at the BET Awards this summer alongside Daniel Caesar. After a string of successful EPs, H.E.R. gave her fans a new, more complete idea of H.E.R.'s musical ability and remarkable potential. In addition to the coveted Album Of The Year nomination, she's also up for Best New Artist.

Beerbongs & Bentleys – Post Malone

Not to be outdone online, Post Malone broke streaming records this year as well by earning the most streams in one week when Beerbongs & Bentleys arrived on April 27. Real name Austin Richard Post, the singer/rapper entered a new stratosphere of popularity with his sophomore album—and he brought many of this friends along for the joyride, as the album includes cameos by the likes of 21 Savage, Ty Dolla Sign, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy and YG. Post Malone is nominated in a total of four categories at the 61st GRAMMY Awards.

Dirty Computer – Janelle Monáe

At the 60th GRAMMY Awards, Janelle Monáe delivered one of the most poignant and powerful speeches in recent memory, calling attention to the #TimesUp movement. Three months later, she made an equally powerful statement with her third studio album, Dirty Computer. With the catchy and bold singles "Make Me Feel," "Django Jane" and "Pynk" leading the way, Monáe set a new precedent for what it means to make infectious music with a message in 2018.

“[Creatives] have the power to create the culture and shape it to what we want it to be,” she told us earlier this year. “And we also have the power to undo the culture if it does not serve us well.”

Golden Hour – Kacey Musgraves

Country music might be the platform Kacey Musgraves has chosen for her music, but it certainly is not a constriction for the singer/songwriter. On Golden Hour, Musgraves takes her signature stir-up of crafty lyric turns, progressive social themes and authentic twang to a new level, all while opening herself up more candidly than she has in the past.

"This album feels very special and different to me because it feels like my most personal." Musgraves told us back in July. "I don't feel like I've really let people in on this scale previously."

Black Panther: The Album, Music From And Inspired By – Various Artists

Music has always played a key integral role in film, but for this year's transcendent blockbuster "Black Panther," the soundtrack took on a life of its own. Led by the Kendrick Lamar and SZA hit "All The Stars," which earned four nominations of its own including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Rap/Sung Performance, Black Panther: The Album, Music From And Inspired By looks to make history as just the third ever movie soundtrack to win Album Of The Year, joining the soundtracks for Saturday Night Fever at the 21st GRAMMY Awards, The Bodyguard at the 36th GRAMMY Awards and, most recently, O Brother, Where Art Thou? at the 44th GRAMMY Awards.

St. Vincent Remix Of Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" Puts Cardi B On Top

"Stop!" and listen to how St. Vincent has Cardi B remixing the rhythm in complete command

Aug 2, 2018 - 1:25 pm

A model of making her art her own way, St. Vincent and her 2017 album Masseduction have been seizing well-deserved attention. It's the follow up to her self-titled LP in 2014, which won Best Alternative Music Album at the 57th GRAMMY Awards. Now she's followed up on Maroon 5's star-studded remix of their own "Girls Like You" single, featuring Cardi B, with an appealing and punchy dance rethink.

Using samples from J Dilla, St. Vincent makes liberal use of Cardi B's attention-grabbing power, jumping into her rap at the top, making everything "Stop!" at her command, and closing the song on the same instruction. If you enjoy having your head rhythmically messed with half as much as St. Vincent says she had fun making this remix, "dancing alone in my studio," the track is an upbeat pleasure. GRAMMY-winning engineer Laura Sisk handled the mix.

— St. Vincent (@st_vincent) August 2, 2018

St. Vincent was one of the powerful musical performances last weekend at Newport Folk Fest and we'll be reporting on her show and many others this weekend in Chicago at Lollapalooza. Masseduction reached No. 10 on the Billboard 200 last year, her highest ranking to date. Its single "Los Ageless" reached No. 23 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart in March 2018.

After Lollapalooza, St. Vincent's tour dates take her overseas for the remainder of August, but she returns in September with festival engagements and west coast performances supporting Florence + The Machine and Lizzo.

Los Angeles' Microsoft Theatre played host to the 2018 BET Awards on June 24, and the action was non-stop. Over the course of the evening, some of the biggest names in pop, rap, R&B, soul, gospel, and more were honored in between a barrage of blockbuster performances.

GRAMMY winner Jamie Foxx served as host of the festivities and opened the show by joining Jay Rock for a revved-up performance of Rock's new single, "Win." Foxx then delivered his monologue and invited Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan to the stage to recite some of the most powerful lines from the film.

DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller took home the night's first award for Best Collaboration for "Wild Thoughts" from Khaled's 2017 album Grateful. Khaled brought his son Asahd to the stage to help him accept the award, and gave him a shoutout in his speech.

SZA received the Best New Artist award, further solidifying her arrival as one of her generation's sharpest talents. The singer expressed gratitude and encouragement in her acceptance speech, saying, "Believe in yourself, 'cause I didn't even believe in myself, and things like this happen to me, so it this can happen to anybody. God bless everyone."

The show's lineup of performances was full of surprises. Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, delivered an impromptu snippet of "This Is America." Meek Mill premiered a new song called "Stay Woke" featuring Miguel, and Migos recreated their "Soultrain"-inspired music video for "Walk It Talk It," with Foxx helping out in the roll of TV show host.

YG, 2 Chainz and Big Sean joined Nicki Minaj for a run of three songs, including "Chun-Li," "Rich Sex" and the crew's newly released single, "Big Bank." H.E.R., real name Gabi Wilson, made a splash with performances of "Focus" and, calling upon Daniel Caesar for help, the sweet and soulful love song, "Best Part." Janelle Monaé performed "Jango Jane" from her latest album, Dirty Computers, and turned heads on the red carpet with her vibrant rainbow pride dress.

Rapper J. Cole chose to perform the lead-off cut from his latest album, KOD. His rendition of "Friends" featured cameos from Wale and Caesar as well as a dynamic performance from Cole, dramatic lighting and even a memorable dance sequence from a group of children. Snoop Dogg closed the show with a set of his classics mixed in with tunes from his new gospel project.

Additional notable awards went to Beyoncé for Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Kendrick Lamar for Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Cardi B for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, and Lecrae and Tori Kelly for the Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award for their duet "I'll Find You." BET also honored two legends in their own right as GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Anita Baker and the company's influential president Debra Lee each received a lifetime achievement award.

With a captivating mix of bold social statements, reverent award presentations, lively and heartfelt performances, up-and-coming stars, and musical icons, the 2018 BET Awards honored the best-of-the-best from both today and the past while also providing illuminating insight into the future of music.
