It's a happy holiday indeed: Not only has Mariah Carey returned to No. 1 with her inescapable yuletide jam, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," but the pop goddess has now released an updated music video to match.

The "Make My Wish Come True" Edition, which premiered on YouTube last night at midnight, features the holiday queen dressed as Santa Claus inside a storefront display. First, a little girl experiences some seasonal magic and enters a jolly world of dancing toy soldiers, dancers holding candy canes, while Carey, who goes from wearing a Santa-inspired catsuit to a toy soldier costume and then a sparkly long red dress, welcomes her 8-year-old twins, Monroe and Moroccan, in the video.

The '90s Christmas track, which appears on Carey's Merry Christmas album, has more than survived the passage of time. The holiday classic has only become more popular since it was released in 1994 and, as noted above, even hit No. 1 on the Billboard 100 chart for the first time ever this year. Last month, Guinness World records recognized Carey for earning three new records for the track, including Most Streamed Track On Spotify In 24 Hours by a female artist.

And the year could not end without an album celebration; in honor of its 25th anniversary, the pop idol released a reissue of the Christmas album that birthed the unexpected Christmas hit.

"This new reissue of Merry Christmas is a nice reminder of Carey's superstar talents, relentless creative work ethic, and hard-earned staying power," Will Hodge wrote in a recent piece about "All I Want For Christmas Is You."

Carey has spent a chunk of the year making the most of her success. Just a few days ago, Carey finished a Christmas tour featuring "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and other seasonal songs.

Carey, who launched an "All I Want For Christmas" residency at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas in November, will begin the tour in Sin City and then head to Atlantic City, N.J., Washington, Uncasville, Conn. and Boston before its last stop in New York City on Dec.15. One dollar from each ticket sold will go to Toys For Tots.

The GRAMMY winner will perform songs from her Merry Christmas album, plus other hits. Carey also plans to re-release her Christmas album in honor of its 25th anniversary on Nov.1, the album's initial release date. Last December, the 1994 hit "All I Want For Christmas Is You" broke a Spotify record with more than 10.8 million streams.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 4 via LiveNation.
