Mariah Carey To Bring "All I Want For Christmas Is You" Shows Back To Vegas
On April 30, GRAMMY winner Mariah Carey announced two upcoming Las Vegas residencies to mark her return to The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She will be relaunching her "All I Want For Christmas Is You" shows this November and will follow them up with new dates for "The Butterfly Returns" in February.
The pop diva will bring the holiday cheer with a five-show run on Nov. 22, 23, 27, 29 and 30. She will return to Caesars for another batch dates for "The Butterfly Returns" on Feb. 14, just in time to either belt out "We Belong Together" or "GTFO" with Mimi, depending how Valentine's Day pans out. The second residency will run for eight shows that month, wrapping up on Feb. 29.
She originally kicked off "The Butterfly Returns" in July 2018, with the February jaunt set to be her fourth batch of shows. It is her second major (non-holiday) Vegas residency, as she launched her first, #1 to Infinity, in 2015.
Carey first launched her "All I Want For Christmas" residency in New York City at the Beacon Theatre in December 2014, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her classic 1994 Merry Christmas album. Due to its popularity, she brought it back to the Beacon in 2015, 2016 and 2017, with several European and Las Vegas dates (at Caesars) in 2017 as well.
Before Carey's Vegas dates, she will be touring Europe this Summer/Fall in support of her latest album, 2018's bop-filled Caution.
Tickets for both Vegas residencies go on sale to the public Fri, May 10, with the fan club pre-sale and VIP packages going live tomorrow, Thurs. May 2; more info on Carey's website.
