Lindsey Buckingham, Christine McVie Announce Fall Tour
The pair has plotted new fall tour dates in support of their new eponymous duets album, which marked their first collaborations since Fleetwood Mac's 1987 album, Tango In The Night. Launching Oct. 14 at the City National Civic in San Jose, Calif., the 22-city jaunt will take them through the Midwest down through Florida, before wrapping Nov. 16 in Sugar Land, Texas.
With evocative tunes like "Feel About You" and "Lay Down For Free" — and with the project debuting at No. 17 — the LP that Buckingham and McVie are backing proves they still have the familiar songwriting magic that resonated on classic albums such as Rumours and Tusk.
"There was a lot of chemistry that I think you could probably safely say that when people haven’t worked together for that amount of time it’s probably more often than not difficult to get that back,” Buckingham told CBS. "But for some reason for us it was better than ever."
As previously announced, Fleetwood Mac will be honored as the 2018 MusiCares Person of the Year at Radio City Music Hall on Jan. 26, 2018. They are the first band in the event's illustrious history to be so recognized with the prestigious GRAMMY Week honor. Tables and ticket packages are now on sale.
