L.A.'s Selena For Sanctuary To Feature Ceci Bastida & More
Selena For Sanctuary, an outdoor concert series in support of immigration rights, has announced a Los Angeles edition featuring local and international artists on Nov. 1. at Grand Park.
Empress Of, Latin-nominated singer Ceci Bastida, Loyal-lobos, August Eve and L.A.'s San Cha will perform at the free concert happening during the park's Day Of The Dead festivities, one of the city's biggest celebrations of Latin culture.
The concert series, organized by Solidarity for Sanctuary and founded in 2017 by music manager Doris Muñoz, aims to raise "awareness about issues concerning immigrant communities and offers resources to help them during the immigration process, while also creating and celebrating community," a statement said. Selena For Sanctuary was named in honor of the late Tejana-cumbia singer Selena as a way to pay homage to her barrier-breaking legacy.
In August, the themed concert event was held in New York City and featured Cuco, Kali Uchis and more. For more information on the L.A. edition, visit the Grand Park website.
