Lady Gaga Coyly Reveals Her Sixth Album Is On The Way

The GRAMMY-winning pop star's last studio album was 2016's 'Joanne'

Apparently Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's performance of "Shallow" at the 2019 Oscars got fans so hot and bothered they assumed someone had to have gotten pregnant.

Well, surprise! The GRAMMY-winning pop star addressed the rumor mill head on with a tweet last night: "Rumors I'm pregnant? Yeah, I'm pregnant with #LG6."

While the Little Monsters will need to figure out who is actually carrying this immaculate conception baby, we can all rejoice in the fact that Gaga has confirmed her sixth studio album is on the way.

Rumors I’m pregnant? Yeah, I’m pregnant with #LG6

— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) March 12, 2019

Now that the internet's focus has readjusted to Gaga's music, expert sleuths have traced some possible developments about the newly confirmed album

As BuzzFeed pointed out, Gaga has subsequently followed two new users on Instagram, which, for someone who only follows 40 people, is significant.

Gaga's 39th and 40th follows are none other than GRAMMY-winning pop and fashion icon Rihanna, along with producer BloodPop aka Michael Tucker, who co-produced her fifth studio album, 2016's Joanne. Tucker also retweeted Gaga's "pregnancy" post and shared a screenshot on IG.

Last month, Gaga, along with her "A Star Is Born" costar Bradley Cooper, earned an armful of new awards to add to her growing collection. At the 61st GRAMMY Awards the pair earned Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Shallow," which she accepted with a tearful speech. She also gave an electrifying solo performance of the hit song and took home a GRAMMY for "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)" for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Later, at the 2019 Oscars, the pair earned another win for "Shallow," for Best Original Song, for which Gaga gave another powerful speech. To cap off the experience, Cooper and Gaga also tenderly sang the song alongside each other.

Check out the performance above, but be careful: Don't get pregnant!

GRAMMY-winning dance-pop queen Dua Lipa is poised to bring us boldly into the new decade. On Dec. 1, the 2019 Best New Artist shared the first details of her highly anticipated sophomore LP by getting the album title, Future Nostalgia, tattooed on her arm and posting it on social media.

The "Electricity" artist followed up the album reveal with another exciting announcement: a 24-date European tour, which she will kick off on April 26 in Madrid. The Future Nostalgia EU Tour 2020 will see the Londoner playing massive venues across Europe, two nights at London's 20,000-capacity The 02 and Berlin's Mercedes-Benz Arena.

Lipa has not announced the release date for the new album yet, although her most recent bop, the vibrant nu-disco-tinged "Don't Start Now," was confirmed to be the lead single. She dropped the "boy bye" anthem on Halloween, followed by a fun new video (where you can peek that new tattoo!) the next day, Nov. 1.

She also spoke about the forthcoming project in a recent press release:

"What I wanted to do with this album was to break out of my comfort zone and challenge myself to make music that felt like it could sit alongside some of my favorite classic pop songs, whilst still feeling fresh and uniquely mine. I was inspired by so many artists on the new record from Gwen Stefani to Madonna to Moloko to Blondie and OutKast, to name just a few.

Because of the time that I'd spent on the road touring with my band I wanted Future Nostalgia to have a lot more of a live element, but mixed together with modern electronic production. My sound has naturally matured a bit as I've grown up but I wanted to keep the same pop sensibility as I had on the first record. I remember that I was on my way to a radio show in Las Vegas thinking about the direction for this new record and I realized that what I wanted to make was something that felt nostalgic but had something fresh and futuristic about it too."

Sounds like exactly what we need in pop music in 2020!

Last October, at her powerful acoustic performance and intimate conversation at the GRAMMY Museum, the "New Rules" singer noted the personal-feeling early albums of P!nk and Nelly Furtado, two of her childhood favorites, as points of reference for her 2017 self-titled debut album. We also caught up with her before the event to chat about working with Calvin Harris, who's on her collab wish list (Rosalía and Frank Ocean are two!), what the viral success of "New Rules" felt like for her and more.

Tickets for the Future Nostalgia EU Tour go on sale this Friday, Dec. 6 at 9 a.m. local time, except for Spain, whose tickets will go on sale on Dec. 5 at 9 a.m.—more details can be found on dualipa.com.

15-year-old ranchera singer Ángela Aguilar grew up in the music industry, coming from a long lineage of powerful performers, including her father Pepe Aguilar. She has already grown into a big name herself, with a massive following (1.5 million followers on Instagram alone) but she's admitted that she'd still be star struck if she met Lady Gaga, of whom she's a big fan.

Now, with the latest episode of ReImagined, which you can watch below, Aguilar pays tribute to the pop queen, offering a moving one-woman cover of Gaga and Bradley Cooper's GRAMMY-winning hit "Shallow," from their Oscar-winning film A Star Is Born.

Aguilar may be as just as excited about this video as her many fans are. She first teased the performance last month during a news interview with TV Azteca, where she was very thrilled to have permission to offer her take on the emotional song.

"Shallow," released last fall as part of the A Star Is Born Soundtrack, was written by Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt. The song took home two wins at the 61st GRAMMY Awards earlier this year, for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Best Song Written For Visual Media.

Also for the 61st GRAMMYs, Aguilar earned her first nomination, for Best Regional Mexican Music Album (Including Tejano) for her debut solo album, Primera Soy Mexicana. She also, along with Aida Cuevas and Natalia Lafourcade, stole the show during the GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony, with their rendition of the classic Spanish language song "La Llorna." Aguilar also earned her first Latin GRAMMY nominations in 2018, for Best New Artist and Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album.

Today, SiriusXM announced a special event to celebrate their February merger with Pandora: one night with Lady Gaga at Harlem's historic Apollo Theater on June 24.

"Performing at The Apollo has always been a dream of mine. Thank you to SiriusXM and Pandora for inviting me. I'm excited for my fans to see a special show at this iconic venue," Gaga said in a press release.

Tickets for her performance at the iconic 1,500-capacity venue are by invitation-only for SiriusXM subscribers. The company is also giving away two tickets plus transportation and accommodation for new subscribers since May 5, including those in the trial period; more info here.

"After getting her start in New York City, Lady Gaga went on to conquer the world with her talent. We are thrilled to have Lady Gaga perform this exclusive show at the world famous Apollo Theater in her hometown as we celebrate SiriusXM and Pandora as one company," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM.

The intimate performance will be Gaga's first in almost two years in her hometown of N.Y.C. (not counting her Met Gala fashion show, of course), and her first-ever at the Apollo.

The theater has been a cornerstone of entertainment and culture in New York since the turn of the 20th century. It has hosted scores of major musicians over the decades, like Aretha Franklin and George Clinton and the Parliament-Funkadelic in the '70s. SiriusXM, meanwhile, hosted Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen at the Apollo in 2010 and 2012, respectively.

Gaga's performance will fall during World Pride Month, while the 2019 N.Y.C. Pride Parade will take place on June 30 in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.

Before heading to New York, the Queen of Camp will wrap up a second round of shows (May 30–June 15) for her Las Vegas residency. The shows, which gives fans a choice between a stripped-down "Jazz & Piano" or the cutting-edge technology-supported "Enigma," will pick back up in the fall.

GRAMMY-winning music legend Elton John is being celebrated by his native Britain for his incomparable contributions to music, philanthropy and culture with the exclusive title of the Order of the Companions of Honor.

"I'm humbled and honoured to be among such highly esteemed company in receiving the Companion of Honour. 2019 has turned out to be a truly wonderful year for me and I feel extraordinarily blessed," the enduring "Rocket Man" wrote on Twitter.

We are so thrilled and beyond proud of founder @EltonOfficial today as he is awarded the Companion of Honour for his remarkable services to music and charity.

The news comes with the recently released 2020 Honours List, in which Queen Elizabeth celebrates 1,097 new rankings of dames and knights each year. GRAMMMY winners Olivia Newton-John and Billy Ocean, along with Roger Taylor of Queen, and Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol are also among the other musical artists on the list of high-level contributors to British society with several different ranks.

Watch: Elton John Discography: Icon Reflects On His Personal Favorite Albums

Australian-British singer/actress Newton-John "was made a dame for services to charity, cancer research and entertainment," as noted by The Guardian. Per Billboard, she is fighting breast cancer for the third time and has worked for years to support cancer research and funding with various philanthropic efforts, including the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre in Melbourne.

"I am extremely excited, honoured and grateful beyond words to be included with such an esteemed group of women who have received this distinguished award before me," the "Grease" star said via Billboard. "As a girl born in Cambridge, I am very proud of my British ancestry and so appreciative to be recognised in this way by the United Kingdom."

Other powerful names in entertainment, like Oscar-winning British film directors Steve McQueen ("12 Years A Slave," "Widows") and Sam Mendes ("American Beauty," "Skyfall"). But as the Guardian points out, the majority of the list (72% this year) are made up of names we are less familiar with, yet nevertheless have dedicated themselves to public service. Simon Stevens, the Chief Executive of England's NHS, is one of these people, who has spent 31 years fighting for better public health funding.

According to BBC News, the honours list is published twice per year—during the New Year and on the Queen's birthday—and are informally approved by the Queen after nominees are approved by committees of "independent experts" divided by subject matter. "The system is overseen by the Cabinet Office Honours and Appointments Secretariat, and British nationals or citizens of the 15 Commonwealth realms can be nominated," BBC explains. Foreigners can receive honorary honours.

John was first knighted back in 1998—when he received his "Sir" title—and now joins a group of just 65 as a Companion of Honour. Fellow knighted GRAMMY winner Paul McCartney is also among this group, whose limit of 65 members at any given time includes the royal monarch himself.

He also received France's highest civilian honor, the Légion d'Honneur, earlier this year. The Elton John AIDS Foundation, which has organizations in both the U.K. and U.S., has raised over $400 million towards money to support HIV/AIDS research and prevention since 1992.

One of 2019's biggest music biopics, "Rocketman," highlighted the personal struggles of low self-esteem, toxic relationships and drug addiction John faced while bringing joy to many with his charismatic stage persona and groundbreaking blend of folk, pop and glam rock.

Kicking off in 2018, his massive farewell tour, appropriately titled Farewell Yellow Brick Road, has seen him bringing his joyful catalog of music to his countless fans around the world, with dates extending into 2020.
