Kehlani, Tove Lo Set To Headline 2018 Los Angeles Pride Festival
We're still about three months out from the annual nationwide celebration of LGBTQ Pride, but lucky for us, we're already getting some information on what we can expect from some of the country's biggest celebrations.
On March 12 the Los Angeles Pride Festival, which is produced by the nonprofit organization Christopher Street West, announced that singer/songwriters Kehlani and Tove Lo have top billing for the popular event on June 9–10.
"Kehlani and Tove Lo are two of the most daring women in music today," the festival’s programming lead, Gregory Alexander, told Billboard. "We're excited to see how they lead the raw and authentic voice of this year’s festival."
Both artists will help celebrate this year's Pride theme, #JustBe, "a deeply personal invitation for self-expression that, we hope, will empower members of the LGBTQ+ community — as well as our very important straight allies — to embrace, embody and express what Pride truly means to them in the rawest, most authentic ways possible," said Christopher Street West board member Shayne Thomas.
Tickets go on sale March 12 via the L.A. Pride Festival's website.
