Grimes' devout fans have been holding their breath lately, waiting for her to confirm her plans for a new album. Now, the Canadian alt-pop singer/songwriter has taken to her Instagram story to tease the album's, “working titlez, subject to change but just so y’all know its real.”

The list of 13 song titles includes "Darq Souls," "Black Swan Blues," and "Favourite Psycho," according to Spin. The singer also let her fans into her process via Twitter, posting what appears to be song descriptions and posing the question to fans of what single should drop first.

Grimes recently appeared on Janelle Monáe's recent album Dirty Computer as a guest on the song "PYNK." The two had collaborated once before in 2015 on the song "Venus Fly."

Grimes previous album, 2015's Art Angels, was her fourth studio LP and her first to chart in the Top 40. While fans process and decipher her latest album updates via social, the official title and release date for her fifth album are still forthcoming.

Apple Reveals New iOS 12 Features At WWDC 2018 apple-announces-powerful-new-ios-12-features-wwdc-2018

Apple Announces Powerful New iOS 12 Features At WWDC 2018

From augmented reality to group FaceTime, here are the biggest features coming your way from Apple

Jun 5, 2018 - 7:46 am

Apple announced the new iOS 12 software at its Worldwide Development Conference in San Jose, Calif., on June 4. The company's CEO Tim Cook revealed a lineup of improvements and features that promise to make the update a useful one for all users, including musicians and music fans alike.

The good news out of the gate for existing users is that the new software will focus on improving the performance of older devices, such as iPhone 6 Plus, and will be available to all iPhones and tablets from 2013 to present. Faster CPU performance will also reduce load time, making the tools you use more readily available.

Many musicians and songwriter rely heavily on one of the simplest apps on their device: Voice Memos. Apple has done a sleek redesign of the app and made it available on the iPad for the first time. Users will also be able to sync their files to iCloud, meaning those inspired song ideas that come to you at the most unusual times will not only be captured, but also backed up to the cloud.

Group FaceTime, a feature many users have desired for years, finally arrives with iOS 12, allowing a whopping 32 people to join a single FaceTime call simultaneously. Users will be able to start a FaceTime call with the existing members of a group chat in iMessage, and when someone on the call is speaking their icon will automatically enlarge, shifting the focus to their face. It's easy to see this feature becoming the new norm for band meetings and friend groups alike.

Perhaps surprisingly, Apple introduced a feature that will help users monitor and control the time they spend on their devices. Screen Time allows users to set a customized time limit for any app and notify them when that daily limit is reached. The feature will also generate daily and weekly reports, providing data on how much time you spend on your phone and how you spend that time. In an age where our world seems to revolve around our devices, this feature could be crucial in helping users understand their own habits. Screen Time is potentially a valuable tool for up-and-coming artists who must split their time between managing a social media presence and mastering their craft.

Similarly, a more sophisticated Do Not Disturb feature will enable users to set parameters during certain parts of their day such as studio time, writing time, or bedtime, so that pesky notifications and distractions are held at bay.

Augmented reality has been coming down the pike for a while, but with iOS 12, it sees the second version of Apple's AR software improve face tracking, realistic rendering, object detection and shared interaction in a serious way. One handy application of this feature is that while shopping online, you can view an object's actual size, color, and texture against your real-world surrounding environment, which could help recording studio builders, costume designers, and gear heads pick out the perfect item online.

Lastly, Apple has doubled down on the rising use of custom emojis by introducing Memoji, a more personalized version of Animoji that uses the front-facing 3D camera to create more realistic looking depictions that are, of course, customizable. Emoji lovers will also appreciate the new tongue detection feature, a technology for which Apple enthusiast Gene Simmons would be proud.

With these new features, plus Siri enhancements, photo sharing improvements, third-party CarPlay integration (Waze and Google Maps, for example) and the streamlined news and stocks apps make iOS 12 more than your average software update.

The new iOS 12 will be available this fall. For more information on these latest developments and more, visit Apple's website.

Florence + The Machine will hit the road for a 23-date tour through North America this fall following the June 29 release of High As Hope. The tour announcement arrives just days after the Florence Welch and company opened for the Rolling Stones in London during their No Filter tour.

The High As Hope Tour will kick off Aug. 5 in Montreal and wrap Oct. 20 Minneapolis, making notable stops at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl and New York’s Barclays Center, as well as Seattle, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and more.

The announcement comes complete with an impressive list of opening acts slated to open at various stops throughout the tour, including St. Vincent, Kamasi Washington, Billie Eilish, Beth Ditto, Grizzly Bear, Perfume Genius and Wet.

Speculation of the arrival of a new Florence + The Machine album began early in 2018. Their first new song of the year arrived April 12 with "Sky Full Of Song," which fueled anticipation even further. Earlier this month, the group put rumors to rest, announcing the album's title and street date, and releasing it's the first single and video in the form of the uplifting symphonic pop track, "Hunger."

The album will be Florence + The Machine's third full-length and follow up to How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which came out three years ago today. That album received a nomination at the 58th GRAMMY Awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Tickets for the High As Hope Tour go on sale Friday, June 1 at 10 a.m. local time with select pre-sale available starting May 29 12 p.m. local time via LiveNation.

Shawn Mendes Drops Julia Michaels Collab "Nervous" Ahead Of New Album

With his third full-length album due out May 25, Mendes drops a new soulful pop track he wrote with the "Issues" singer

Shawn Mendes can't seem to sit still leading up to the release of his highly anticipated third full-length LP, the self-titled Shawn Mendes, which is due out May 25. The Canadian singer/songwriter has dropped yet another new song ahead of the album's arrival, his first collaboration with GRAMMY nominee Julia Michaels, "Nervous."

The song's anxious guitar opening and shaky first few lyrical lines support its title and theme, and as Mendes adrenaline begins to kick in, so does the kick drum, then the tambourine. Once the chorus arrives, a crew of background singers join in to support his excitement. In all, the soulfully vulnerable and concise number shows off Mendes and Michaels' pop chops.

"'Nervous' was the first time I got to work with Julia Michaels," said Mendes in a behind-the-scenes video posted on Twitter. "She's this ball of emotion that's just kind of uncontrollable. She feels sadness and she feels happiness and she feels love and heartbreak all kind of at the same time. It was so awesome because I felt like I was just allowed to be free with the music… The actual concept of the song is super insecure, and 'I get nervous around you,' but the sound of the song is this 'I'm the man'-type thing, so I love the contrast between the two."

"Nervous" marks the fifth new song from Mendes ahead of the release of his album, following "In My Blood," "Lost In Japan," "Where Were You In The Morning," and his collaboration with GRAMMY nominee Khalid for the song "Youth," which the duo delivered live at the Billboard Music Awards alongside the Majority Stoneman Douglas Student Choir. Mendes also performed the aforementioned "In My Blood" solo on the show.

Mendes continues on his massive world tour, picking back up in Portland, Ore. June 12 and wrapping up Aug. 24 in Brooklyn, N.Y, making several festival appearances in the U.S., Europe and Japan along the way including a performance on June 1 at Governors Ball in New York City. Mendes' tourmate, GRAMMY nominee Charlie Puth, dropped an album of his own earlier this month, Voicenotes.

Pop singer/songwriter Charlie Puth has hardly had time to catch his breath since exploding onto the scene in 2015 with "See You Again," his GRAMMY-nominated smash hit with Wiz Khalifa from the Furious 7 soundtrack. After an EP, debut album, and various collaborations, Puth's sophomore full-length effort, Voicenotes, arrived May 11.

Puth clearly has a knack for working well with others. The new album includes features by Kehlani, Boyz II Men, and James Taylor, as well as the previously released single, "Attention," which was a collaboration with Liam Payne of One Direction. Since his breakout hit, Puth has also worked with Lil Wayne, Jason Derulo, and Meghan Trainor, among others.

Voienotes follows Puth's 2015 EP, Some Type Of Love, and his 2016 debut album, Nine Track Mind, which charted the hits "Dangerously" and "We Don't Talk Anymore" featuring Selena Gomez.

Puth will launch an extensive tour in support of Voicenotes on July 11 in Toronto. For a full list of tour dates and ticket information, visit his website.
