Let's face it — celebrities have access to the best of the best. They have world-renowned personal stylists and consultants for their hair and clothes. They have access to beauty consultants, private chefs, fitness trainers and more. All of this is necessary because their image is photographed, recorded and distributed to the masses. Therefore, it’s smart to look to them for guidance. When we do this, we take advantage of all of their resources and use it to our benefit. The important thing to remember is they are their beautiful selves and we are our beautiful selves, but it is great to use celebrity style as a starting-off point to customize our own!
You know that cool look certain celebrities are wearing now, where they bleach their hair and then dye it a bright color? That look was started by the London indie street scene and made its influence all the way to Nicki Minaj, Drew Barrymore and Lady Gaga. So in case you don’t have a crew of international stylists whose jobs are to tell you what’s cool, then go ahead and take a few pointers from celebrities such as those mentioned above. You might not want to go out and get a pink wig and wear it in public, but if the look inspires you, go out and buy some colored clip-in hair extensions you can wear on the weekends.
The same idea applies to makeup and fashion. Celebrities get front-row seats to all of the top fashion shows and get a first-hand look at emerging trends before the world sees them. Sometimes they even get their clothes for free, just so they can put them on and show us what's next! It's all a cycle: from designer to celebrity to us! There are many bloggers, vloggers and magazines that demonstrate how to get a celebrity look for less and it's not rocket science to look at a photo and use it as inspiration. Take what you like and leave the rest! Think of them as researchers put here to help guide us through the world of fashion and makeup. (Thank you celebrities!)
