GRAMMY Effect Album Sales Lift Bruno Mars, Chris Stapleton & Kesha
Bruno Mars' Album Of The Year GRAMMY-winning 24K Magic received an 89 percent sales bump accounting for 23,000 album sales, the biggest gainer on the chart moving from No. 10 to No. 4. The GRAMMY Effect also reached back into Mars' catalog, as Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans sales went up 36 percent.
Chris Stapleton, a GRAMMY winner this year for his From A Room: Volume 1, saw the album's sales lifted by 92 percent. His latest release, From A Room: Volume 2, went up 100 percent in sales while his GRAMMY-winning album from two years ago, Traveller, stood strong with a sales bump of 49 percent.
The single greatest percent gainer was Childish Gambino, whose "Awaken, My Love!" increased its sales by 126 percent. Jay-Z's 4:44 saw a 76 percent lift, Kesha's Rainbow increased by 102 percent, and Elton John's latest greatest hits album Diamonds climbed 75 percent. Lady Gaga saw a sales bump as well for her nominated album Joanne, which increased 126 percent, landing it at No. 101 on the Billboard 200 chart.
