GoFundMe Campaign Raises $3.8M To Support Las Vegas Victims
The tragedies that occurred in Las Vegas on Oct. 1 have left many lives broken and many people feeling powerless. But there are some ways we can help. A GoFundMe campaign started by Steve Sisolak, Las Vegas' Clark County Commission chair, has raised a total of $3.8M as of Tuesday at 2 p.m. PST to support victims of the mass shooting, and the number continues to grow.
According to Billboard, Sisolak says the funds "will be used to provide relief and financial support to the victims and families of the horrific Las Vegas mass shooting."
The campaign quickly surpassed the original goal of $2 million and has moved the goal up, first to $3.5 million and now to $4.5 million. In additional to financial contributions coming in from around the globe, local citizens have been coming out in droves to donate blood for the victims.
You can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign here. If you are in the Las Vegas area, you can donate blood at the following locations.
