Sony Corporation Chairman Howard Stringer To Retire
Sony Corporation Chairman Howard Stringer announced he will retire in June to focus on new opportunities, including charity work, according to Billboard.biz. Stringer, who was appointed Sony Corp.'s chief executive in 2005, became the first foreign president of the Japanese-based electronics company. In February 2012 Kazuo Hirai was appointed company president and CEO while Stringer was appointed chairman.
Muse Drummer Drops E-Cigs After Noel Gallagher Diss
Following Noel Gallagher's push for Dominic Howard to smoke a "proper" cigarette, the Muse drummer says he will switch from electronic cigarettes to old-fashioned smokes. Muse frontman Matt Bellamy tweeted that "Live Forever," a track by Gallagher's former group Oasis, inspired Howard to inhale real smoke again. "Dom took Noel's lyrics 'I want to live I don't want to die', 'maybe I just want to breath[e]' and 'you and I are gonna live forever' literally," Bellamy wrote.
