The Firefly Music Festival 2019 lineup was announced on Dec. 11 for next summer, June 21–23, in Dover, Delaware. The eighth annual, open-air fest features headliners Panic! At The Disco, Post Malone and Travis Scott. All three are past or present GRAMMY nominees.

GRAMMY winners in the lineup include TLC, Vampire Weekend and Zedd. Artists who received GRAMMY nominations, on the bill, include Courtney Barnett, Death Cab For Cutie, DJ Snake, and Tyler, The Creator.

Some of what makes festivals so unforgettable are the performances by newcomers and emerging artists. With many more expected on Firefly's multiple stages, a few who we've written about or spoken to include Alison Wonderland, Brockhampton, Dashboard Confessional, GRiZ, Kygo, Gucci Mane, Jessie Reyez, Snail Mail, Walk The Moon, and Young The Giant.

Four fantastic days of music in August are in store for Chicago festivalgoers with the latest festival announcement

On March 21, headliners for Lollapalooza 2018 were announced, and festivalgoers can look forward to a star-packed lineup during the event, which will be held in Chicago's Grant Park on Aug. 2–5. Live concerts at music festivals are a primary art form of their own, as SXSW 2018 demonstrated last week, and festival season is just beginning.

Without further ado, headliners for this year's Lollapalooza include GRAMMY winners Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Jack White, Daya, LL Cool J, the National, St. Vincent, Vampire Weekend, and Zedd. Rounding out the lineup are GRAMMY nominees Arctic Monkeys, James Bay, Galantis, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, Logic, Odesza, Portugal, The Man, Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator, and Kali Uchis, among others.

Just a few days after the 2020 Coachella lineup dropped, Bonnaroo 2020 has followed suit with an incredibly stacked and diverse lineup featuring GRAMMY winners/current nominees Tool, first-time GRAMMY nominee Lizzo and past nominee Tame Impala as the headliners. Current GRAMMY nominees Flume, Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, J.I.D, DaBaby, The 1975, Brittany Howard, Altın Gün and Yola will also perform at the 19th annual four-day music festival held in Manchester, Tenn.

The farm-set event will take place from June 11–14 and will also feature major sets from versatile pop queen Miley Cyrus, bass legend BASSNECTAR, recently-reunited rock supergroup Oysterhead (consisting of Les Claypool of Primus, Trey Anastasio of Phish and Stewart Copeland of The Police), Primus and GRAMMY-winning St. Louis rap icon Nelly, who will be performing his GRAMMY-nominated debut 2000 album, Country Grammar, in full.

The colorful lineup poster also reveals more exciting acts across genres, including past GRAMMY nominee Femi Kuti, GRAMMY winner Leon Bridges, as well as Cuco, Run the Jewels, Megan Thee Stallion, Dashboard Confessional and Dermot Kennedy. Glass Animals, Young the Giant, TroyBoi, The Band Camino, Denzel Curry, Yaeji and Billy Strings are also slated to perform.

Leading this year's Bonnaroo SuperJam is Durham, N.C. electro-pop act Sylvan Esso. The annual jam session curated by a different artist each year, to bring together musicians in honoring late heroes (GRiZ led the jams last year). The iconic, longstanding Nashville music venue Grand Ole Opry will be hosting a special showcase for the third year in a row, on the first day of the event. Those not frolicking at the fest can even tune into this showcase online, via opry.com and WSMonline.com and their respective mobile apps.

England's Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts revealed their initial lineup for 2019's June 26–30 event, held at Worthy Farm outside Pilton, Somerset. In addition to five-time GRAMMY winner Janet Jackson and previous nominees the Killers, 2019 Glastonbury is filled with a curated combination of the famous and emerging. Other GRAMMY winners on the lineup include the Chemical Brothers, Sheryl Crow, Diplo, Lauryn Hill, Mavis Staples, and Vampire Weekend.

In addition to the Killers, previously nominated artists performing this summer include Bastille, Neneh Cherry, the Cure, Miley Cyrus, Fatoumata Diawara, Liam Gallagher, Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip, Hozier, Janelle Monáe, Jorja Smith, Tame Impala, and Wu-Tang Clan.

One of the joys of a curated festival like Glastonbury is experiencing new acts, from the established to those just on the radar. Two accomplished artists who stand out are the band Interpol and British rapper Stefflon Don. Others include Anne-Marie, Billie Eilish, Michael Kiwanuka, Lizzo, Pale Waves, Cat Power, Latin GRAMMY winner Rosalía, Sharon Van Etten, Kurt Vile & The Violators, and Kamasi Washington.

Although Glastonbury 2019 has already sold out, the festival encourages those wanting to attend to register at their website for an April ticket resale.

On Nov. 29, Hangout Music Fest released the lineup for their 10th anniversary event, which they've coined a "music vacation," is set to take place May 17-19, 2019 alongside the ocean in Gulf Shores, Ala. A quick glance at the performers shows six big-name headliners from across genres: GRAMMY-winning indie rock heroes Vampire Weekend, GRAMMY-nominated folk/pop favorites The Lumineers, GRAMMY-nominated hip-hop powerhouses Cardi B and Travis Scott, fellow GRAMMY nominee and rising R&B star Khalid, plus tropical house DJ/producer Kygo.

The incredibly stacked lineup definitely points to quite the musical retreat, featuring over 50 performers reveals an equally exciting mix of artists and genres, sure to keep festival goers dancing all three days. It includes big names in dance music such as GRAMMY winner Diplo, GRAMMY nominees Mura Masa and Sofi Tukker, plus GRiZ, Alison Wonderland, Hippie Sabotage and Gorgon City. There are also notable names of the pop/indie-rock arena, including GRAMMY nominee Hozier, as well as The 1975, Walk The Moon and Jimmy Eat World.

There are also plenty of talented rising artists performing that you may very well likely already be a big fan of, such as Bebe Rexha, Bishop Briggs, Bazzi and Pale Waves. Hangout Fest 2019 seems like just the event to see your favorite artists as well as find your new favorite.
