Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow," Foo Fighters Net Billboard No. 1s
Cardi B's "Bodak Yellow" spent the summer running up millions of YouTube views and scaling the charts. And now it has reached the Billboard single summit.
The rapper's viral hit has ascended to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, knocking Taylor Swift's "Look What You Made Me Do" from the position. According to Billboard, Cardi B becomes only the fifth solo female rapper to top the chart and the first since Lauryn Hill's GRAMMY-winning debut solo hit, 1998's "Doo-Wop (That Thing)."
Meanwhile, the Foo Fighters racked up their second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. The GRAMMY-winning group's ninth studio album, Concrete And Gold, sold 127,000 equivalent album units copies — including 120,000 traditional copies — in its first week.
Concrete And Gold is the group's first chart-topping album since 2011's Wasting Light, which earned Best Rock Album at the 54th GRAMMY Awards.
