BTS Draws Massive Crowds For First Japanese Arena Shows
The seven-member K-pop collective BTS hosted an impressive pair of opening nights for their first arena/dome shows in Japan this past weekend.
With more than 80,000 fans gathered at the Kyosera Dome Osaka on Oct. 14 and 15, the K-pop superstars laid down massive shows for their so-called "Osaka ARMY," ripping through 22 of the group's favorites and individual members' respective solo standout tracks.
One of the biggest highlights of the two nights was undoubtedly the unbridled full-crowd singalong to the group's international hit "DNA," which nabbed them their first career spot on the Billboard Hot 100, and helped their latest album, Love Yourself: Her, become the first-ever Top 10-charting album by a Korean act on the Billboard 200.
The group also teased some new music to the gathered Japanese fans, hinting that a new "triple-A" CD single was coming on Dec. 6, featuring new a new original song in Japanese as well as newly recorded Japanese language versions of their hits "DNA" and "MIC DROP."
