The pair have teamed up for several hits, including "Rebel Yell," "White Wedding" and "Dancing With Myself," which they'll perform along with deeper album cuts and "songs that influenced them," according to a statement. Idol will also be delivering "spoken-word interludes."
The run of shows kicks off Mar. 3 in Vancouver, making stops in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, Washington D.C. and more, closing out in Red Bank, N.J. on Apr. 4. Prior to the string of duo dates, Idol will embark on his second Las Vegas residency at The Pearl Theatre at Palms Casino Resort on Jan. 18 with Stevens and a full band backing him.
Idol earned his first GRAMMY nomination in 1984 for "Rebel Yell" for Best Rock Vocal Performance, Male, a category he's been nominated in twice since for "To Be A Lover" and "Cradle Of Love." Stevens won a GRAMMY for Best Pop Instrumental Performance, (Orchestra Group Or Soloist) for 1986's "Top Gun Anthem" from the film by the same name.
Tickets for the Turned On, Tuned In and Unplugged tour go on sale Friday, Jan. 18.
