Beyoncé Releases International Day Of The Girl 'Freedom' Video
It should come as no surprise that Beyoncé, one of the fiercest advocates for women everywhere, chose Oct. 11, the International Day of the Girl, to drop a new video in celebration of girls around the world.
The short clip, which was posted to Facebook, features a diverse cast of young women performing Beyoncé's hit "Freedom" at various locations around the world, including at outside poignant venues in Washington, D.C., such as the Washington Monument, the U.S. Capitol and the White House.
Billboard reports the video was produced by Beyoncé and Salma Hayek's Chime for Change initiative. Those wishing to join the initiative and empower girls worldwide can visit #FreedomForGirls page to support a variety of organizations working to improve the lives of girls all over the globe.
"Girls around the world are fighting for their freedom every day," the video concludes. "Join them."
