Ariana Grande's "7 Rings" Video Earns Biggest YouTube Debut Of 2019
2018 was a banner year for Ariana Grande, and it looks like 2019 will be no different. Grande's latest music video for her single "7 Rings" now holds the biggest YouTube debut of the year (so far).
Billboard reports that the "7 Rings" video, which dropped at the same time with the single, saw 23.6 million views in the first 24 hours of its release. Grande saw a similar record broken in 2018 with the release of "Thank U, Next," which gained 55.4 million views in the first 24 hours that it dropped.
Prior to its release, Grande teased "7 Rings," the video now at roughly 64 million views, on social media with a countdown and responded to hordes of excited fans. Grande lavishly parties with all her friends at a neon-lit house party in the video directed by Hannah Lux Davis.
The single is set to appear on the singer's recently announced fifth studio album, Thank U, Next, out Feb. 8. The album is a follow-up to Sweetener, released in 2018.
