Ariana Grande won Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener at the 61st GRAMMY Awards. This marks the popstar's first-ever GRAMMY win.

While she was not at the show to accept the award, she shared her excitement and gratidue for the big moment on social media.

i love u @pharrell @scooterbraun @AllisonKaye every human being at @republicrecords @awsuki @ilya_music Max Martin @tbhits @victoriamonet @SocialHouseTC @recordingacademy & the voters

— Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) February 10, 2019

Her album bested fellow category nominees Camila Cabello (Camila), Kelly Clarkson (Meaning Of Life), Shawn Mendes (Shawn Mendes), P!nk (Beautiful Trauma) and Taylor Swift (Reputation).

Sweetener is Grande's fourth studio album, and her third No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. The LP, released Aug. 17, features a range of powerful pop anthems including hit singles "no tears left to cry" and "God is a woman." The album marks a noted growth in the pop princess' artistic expression and journey.

She received her first career GRAMMY nomination in 2014 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Bang Bang" with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj and Best Pop Vocal Album for her sophmore album, My Everything. Grande made her GRAMMY stage debut that year at the the 57th GRAMMY Awards, performing one of the songs from the album, "Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart."

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Shallow" at the 61st GRAMMY Awards.

She also gave a dazzling performance of "Shallow" on the GRAMMY stage during the show.

Gaga accepted the GRAMMY for the pair and gave a powerful speech. The win marked her second of the night and the first-ever win for actor Cooper. "Shallow," which the duo sung together in A Star Is Born and is featured as a single from the film's soundtrack, also won Best Song Written For Visual Media. Gaga's "Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)" snagged Best Pop Solo Performance.

During her emotional acceptance speech the star spoke to the importance of the mental health awareness.

"I'm so proud to be a part of a movie that adresses mental health issues, they're so important. And a lot of artists deal with that, and we gotta take care of each other. So if you see somebody that's hurting, don't look away. And if you're hurting, even though it might be hard, try to find that bravery within yourself to dive deep and go tell somebody," Gaga said.

Other Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nominees were Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato ("Fall In Line"), Backstreet Boys ("Don't Go Breaking My Heart"), Tony Bennett and Diana Krall ("'S Wonderful"), Maroon 5 and Cardi B ("Girls Like You"), Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton ("Say Something") and  Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey ("The Middle").

Gaga has earned nine GRAMMY wins and received 24 nominations to date times.

She won her first two GRAMMYs at the 52nd GRAMMY Awards for Best Dance Recording for "Poker Face" and Best Dance/Electronic Album for The Fame, her debut album. She also made her first GRAMMY stage performance that year, singing a medley that included her "Poker Face" and "Speechless" along with GRAMMY-winning icon Elton John's "Your Song," who joined her onstage for an unforgettable duet.

R&B rising star H.E.R. won Best R&B Album for her self-titled album H.E.R., her second award of the night, at the 61st GRAMMY Awards.

"So first thing I wanna say is this is unbelievable and second it's not even an album, it's an EP" she said after accepting her golden gramophone.  "I'm speechless right now, I'm holding back tears."

Toni Braxton's Sex & Cigarettes, Leon Bridges' Good Thing, Lalah Hathaway's Honestly and PJ Morton's Gumbo Unplugged (Live) were other category nominees.

We recently caught up with the talented multi-instrumentalist and first-time nominee (and winner). "It feels like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be," she told the Recording Academy.

It's so easy to question your art, even to question what you're doing, to question the path that you're on. But this is such confirmation for me; "you're exactly where you need to be, you're doing all the right things." It just feels amazing, it feels like I found my objective and I'm fulfilling it. I'm so blessed."

As reality sets in for this year's class of GRAMMY winners, music makers take to social media to express their excitement and gratitude

Some moments in life transcend words. Winning a GRAMMY can often be one of those magical moments. For the music creators who took home GRAMMY gold at last night's 61st GRAMMY Awards, reactions varied from shock to elation to tears of joy and more. But when passion, hard work, taking risks and pouring your heart and soul into music results in the ultimate peer-recognized award for excellence, gratitude seems to be the common denominator amongst GRAMMY winners.

From H.E.R. shouting out BTS to Ariana Grande's thoughts on winning her first career GRAMMY, to (of course) a little humor from "Weird Al" Yankovic, let's look at what winners were posting in the afterglow of Music's Biggest Night.

HAPPIEST DAY OF MY LIFE!!!! NO WORDS!!!

Thank you to everyone who has been there since day one! And all my amazing fans that continue to come to my shows and put people on to my music.

Kacey Musgraves won Album Of The Year for Golden Hour at the 61st GRAMMY Awards. "It was really important for me to bring my version of country music to a different group of people," she said onstage while accepting the award.

By The Way, I Forgive You by Brandi Carlile, Scorpion by Drake, H.E.R. by H.E.R., Beerbongs & Bentleys by Post Malone, Dirty Computer by Janelle Monáe and Black Panther: The Album, Music From And Inspired By by Various Artists were the other category nominees.

Musgraves announced her arrival in 2013 with the release of her major label solo debut album Same Trailer Different Park. The album contained the hit singles "Merry Go Round," "Blowin' Smoke" and "Follow Your Arrow." Musgraves was also on the pop and country charts that year as a co-writer of Miranda Lambert's hit "Mama's Broken Heart."

She later won her first GRAMMY for Best Country Album for Same Trailer Different Park at the 56th GRAMMY Awards. She made her debut on the GRAMMY stage that same year when she performed "Follow Your Arrow."
