Apple Reveals Top Albums Of 2017, Drake Leads The Pack
Apple's annual list of the most popular music, games, movies, and apps around the world always makes for interesting reading for anyone looking to monitor budding trends in music and tech.
Topping this year's list as the most popular album is Drake's More Life playlist, which made headlines earlier this year for its innovative release strategy. The most downloaded and streamed song of the year is the inescapable and Best Pop Solo Performance GRAMMY-nominated "Shape Of You" by Ed Sheeran.
Although it was released late in the year, Taylor Swift's Reputation still made it to No. 3 on the most popular album chart. Rising stars and first-time GRAMMY nominees Khalid, Daniel Caesar, and 6lack all made the cut for Apple Music's Up Next artist development program.
Rounding out the top picks for most popular movie, TV show are Disney's animated feel-good island adventure Moana and HBO's hit series "Game Of Thrones" respectively
