Anne-Marie Joins David Guetta On "Don't Leave Me Alone"

Touching and simple, this dance-jam prayer to stick together has a strong, independent outlook

On July 26, David Guetta released a lyrics video along with his latest single, "Don't Leave Me Alone" featuring Anne-Marie. This is his fifth single released in 2018. Fans expect a new studio album this summer, but meanwhile he's keeping us entertained with these dance-worthy tracks.

The single features an upbeat dance track, but Anne-Marie's delivery of the lines "Even when you're angry/Even when I'm cold/ Don't you ever leave me/Don't leave me alone" adds a hint of loneliness and melancholy that add depth to the track.

In addition to today's latest collaboration, Guetta's remix of Sia's hit "Helium" came out in January featuring Afrojack. In February he dropped the lyric video for "Mad Love" with Sean Paul and Becky G. That same month Guetta joined with Martin Garrix and Brooks for "Like I Do."

Anne-Marie has quickly risen up the dance music ranks, touring solo as well as opening for Ed Sheeran, which resulted in their joint acoustic single "2002." Her debut album Speak Your Mind was released in April.

Long in the business of exceeding expectations, EDM super-artist David Guetta has announced the tracklist for his upcoming album 7, and the vista of the album's lineup is breathtaking. Due out Sept. 14, 7 is bound to excite. Let's take a closer look, track-by-track.

7 leads off with "Don't Leave Me Alone" featuring Anne-Marie, who has been opening for Ed Sheeran this summer. Its official video was released Aug. 20, but we wrote about the lyric video when it surfaced late last month and that's already racked up more than 24 million YouTube views. The second track is "Battle" featuring the less-known up-and-comer Faouzia, winner of last year's Unsigned Only competition.

In my career, I never wanted to make something that is just credible, I always want to create something INCREDIBLE. I am so happy and proud to announce my seventh full length studio album “7”! On September 14th it will officially see the daylight https://t.co/B2tsQPCnog pic.twitter.com/rzgOGd1Xzp

Third up in this more-than-a-showcase is GRAMMY nominee Sia's collaboration on "Flames." "Anything she does, I love," said Guetta in our exclusive interview. "It's almost hard for me not to like anything that she's singing." The lyric video was a hot appetizer and its official video took the action over the top. It's followed on 7 by "Blame It On Love" with Madison Beer, and fifth on the list is "Say My Name," Guetta's collaboration with J Balvin, who has been nominated for many Latin GRAMMY Awards, and Bebe Rexha. Such great talents in a mix that's bound to spark stamina for more to come.

Position six is Guetta's collaboration "Goodbye" with Jason Derulo, to be released on Aug. 24, featuring Nicki Minaj and Willy William. It's followed in auspicious position seven on 7 by "I'm That Bitch" with rapper Saweetie. Next stop is the "Like I Do" collaboration with Martin Garrix and Brooks, which was released in Feb. — the lyric video for that has already topped 78 million YouTube views.

Rounding out the single-digit slots at position nine is "2U" in collaboration with GRAMMY winner Justin Bieber. That track made it to No. 16 on Billboard's Hot 100 last year. GRAMMY winner Jess Glynne and Stefflon Don are featured on Guetta's tenth track "She Knows How To Love Me." Next up with two GRAMMY nominated artists is the "Motto" collaboration with Steve Aoki featuring Lil Uzi Vert, G-Eazy and Mally Mall.

The final four on this 15-track spectacular begins with "Drive" — out on Aug. 24th — in collaboration with Black Coffee and featuring Delilah Montagu. Lucky thirteenth is a Spanish-language track featuring J Balvin titled "Para Que Te Quedes." It means "for you to stay" and this track lineup is keeping us glued. Up-and-comer Ava Max is featured on the penultimate "Let It Be Me" and then the finale is another collabo with Sia titled "Light Headed." Not everyone might feel light-headed here, but this tour is talent-packed enough to be tiring if it weren't so inspiring. This will be fun.

David Guetta's album 7 is available for pre-order now and tomorrow, as mentioned above, "Drive" and "Goodbye" will arrive. It is certainly part of the power of EDM that it provides a platform for artistic talent to combine with unexpected energy, like particles in an accelerator. It's not like it's really the big bang but this is a great look at what's new and we expect 7 to deliver more dance-tacular booms to come.

On March 22 GRAMMY-winning DJ David Guetta and GRAMMY-nominated singer/songwriter Sia reunited to release the lyric video for their latest project together, "Flames."

Much like previous collaborations, "Flames" is a pop-forward tune that showcases Sia's vocal prowess while sending an encouraging message for listeners to keep pushing forward. This marks Sia and Guetta's fourth collaboration.

The first collaboration between the two artists was 2011's "Titanium," which reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has more than 774 million views on YouTube. Their follow-up the next year was "She Wolf (Falling to Pieces)," which has reached 485 million views. On 2015's "Bang My Head," the two were joined by Fetty Wap for a hit that has more than 190 million views.

Clearly, Guetta and Sia know how to please, so what kind of fuel is out there to help feed "Flames"? "Flames" has only notched its first million views since yesterday, but it's spreading. Care to catch on fire?

Performing rights organization ASCAP announced on Dec. 18 that it is donating to MusiCares to support music's creators including those "affected by the recent wildfires in northern and southern California" needing help with food, shelter and replacement of instruments or equipment.

"We are truly grateful for the support and ongoing partnership of ASCAP," said Recording Academy and MusiCares President/CEO Neil Portnow. "Their work on behalf of music people is vital, and their generosity to the music community is equally strong. This donation demonstrates how the music industry works together to take care of their own."

"We have all been stunned by the devastation caused by the California fires and the heartache and loss suffered by our members who reside there," said ASCAP Chairman of the Board and President Paul Williams, winner of three GRAMMY awards as a songwriter. "ASCAP has always been an advocate for music creators, and faced with these terrible circumstances, we have their backs. We are pleased to work with MusiCares to get help to those who need it most."

For those wishing to donate, the "Gift Designation" choice at MusiCares' donation page offers "Disaster Relief" as a selection.

"The music community knows that it can turn to MusiCares in times of distress," said ASCAP CEO Elizabeth Matthews. "They have the organization and the infrastructure necessary to respond to these horrible events and help members of the music community in times of need. We're glad to work with MusiCares once again to ensure that our funds reach the people most affected by the fires."
