Amazon Music Mobile App Users Can Now Ask Alexa
Aside from their fingertips, Amazon Music app users will now have an infinite number of play options available at the sound of their voice.
The company has announced that Alexa is now available to on-the-go Amazon Music app users — in the U.S., U.K., Germany, and Australia — for both Android and iOS platforms.
Want to request one song? Or how about a set of songs by a specific artist? Need some help creating the theme of your next playlist? What about that one song where you only know a few of the lyrics? Just open the app and Alexa can do the rest.
Along with setting times for appointments and asking about the weather and breaking news, playing music is one of the top uses for Alexa-enabled devices such as the Echo and Echo Dot, which prompted the move to offer voice control in the native app.
According to a report by The Wall Street Journal Alexa is the top way Amazon Music customers listen to music via mobile. As of May 2017, Amazon reportedly passed the 10 million mark in sales of Alexa-powered devices.
