After performing her powerhouse piano medley at the 62nd Annual GRAMMYs, R&B superstar, GRAMMY-winning artist and former GRAMMY’s host Alicia Keys has revealed that she will set out on a four-stop book tour next month. The storytelling tour will support her forthcoming book More Myself: A Journey, which is slated for a March 31 release via Flatiron Books and is reported to feature stories and music from the book, told and performed by Alicia and her piano, according to a statement.

Part autobiography, part narrative documentary, Keys' title is dubbed in its description as an "intimate, revealing look at one artist’s journey from self-censorship to full expression."  You can pre-order the title here.

The book tour will kick off with a March 31 Brooklyn stop at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. From there, Keys will visit Atlanta’s Symphony Hall on April 5 and Chicago’s Thalia Hall with Chicago Ideas the following day, April 6. The short-run will culminate on April 7 in Los Angeles at the Theatre at Ace Hotel.

Pre-sales for the tour are underway and public on-sale will begin on Friday, March 6 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time. Tickets for the intimate dates and full release dates and times are available here.

Keys won her first five career awards at the 44th Annual GRAMMYs in 2002. On the night, she received awards in the Best New Artists, Song of the Year, Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance categories respectively. She has received a total of 29 nominations and 15 GRAMMYs in her career.

This year, Keys will also embark on a world tour in support of Alicia, the artist’s upcoming seventh studio album and the follow up of 2016’s Here, due out March 20 via RCA Records.

Alicia Keys Pens Touching Poem To Her Son

Keys' poem may resonate with parents raising Black children in the U.S.

Alicia Keys has written a poem for her youngest son, Genesis, that honors him and highlights what she hopes for his future as the death of George Floyd, who died after a police officer pressed his knee into his neck, continues to create conversations around race relations in the U.S.

"My beautiful baby boy ⁣/ So curious and pure ⁣/Yet SO clear about what you don’t want ," she wrote. " I hope that inner strength and fire/ Never extinguishes⁣/ And you never feel the sway to fit in⁣/ Or be silenced⁣."

The "Underdog" singer ended the poem, posted on Instagram on Wednesday, June 3, with #Blacklivesmatter and guided her followers to a resource link on how to stay involved.

Data shows Black Americans are two-and-a-half times more likely than white people to be shot and killed by police. Keys' poem touches on a strong sentiment that many parents raising Black children may relate to.

Clint Smith writes about the experience Black parents face for the Atlantic. "Our children have raised the stakes of this fight, while also shifting the calculus of how we move within it. It is one thing to be concerned for my own well-being, to navigate the country as a black man and to encounter its risks," he writes. "It is another thing to be raising two black children and to consider both the dangers for yourself and the dangers that lie ahead for them."

Janet Jackson has announced a new album titled Black Diamond, due out later this year. The pop icon is also plotting a tour titled the 2020 Black Diamond World Tour, which will feature music from the forthcoming album as well as music from her 1989 album, Rhythm Nation 1814, which turns 31 this year.

The extensive Black Diamond tour will launch in Miami on June 24 and will hit cities including Atlanta, Nashville, Washington, Toronto, Houston, Los Angeles and Vancouver. The tour will close on Aug. 23 in Tacoma, Wash.

The "All For You" singer hasn't released a new album since 2015's Unbreakable. In a tweet, Jackson acknowledged that her fans have been asking for new music and said the new album and tour are a part of a "new era" she is excited to share with them.

She gave insight and why she named her album and tour after the stone in an Instagram post. "Black Diamonds are the toughest of all the diamonds, the hardest to cut," she wrote. "I see that as the hardest to hurt or destroy. There is a lot that I have endured. I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength."

Jackson is a five-time GRAMMY nominee. Her last win was Best Dance Recording for "All For You" at the 44th GRAMMY Awards.

Presale for the tour begins Tuesday, Feb. 11. For more information, visit Jackson's website.
