It's one thing to write a boast track: it's another thing entirely to do the opposite.

In Zach Williams' upbeat, poignant gospel song "Less Like Me," he considers all the moments in which he could have acted Christlike. "Somebody with a hurt that I could have helped/ Somebody with a hand that I could have helped," he sings.

And in the chorus, Williams lists attributes he'd like to have, as opposed to the ones he's got: mercy, grace, kindness, goodness, love, faith, patience, peace. "A little more like Jesus," goes the kicker line summing it all up, "a little less like me."

In the latest episode of Positive Vibes Only, watch Zach Williams and his band perform the probing, life-affirming "Less Like Me." Check out the performance above and watch more episodes of Positive Vibes Only here.

Our family, friends, jobs and every other sector of life are bound to let us down now and again. But music may be the only component of our existence that always does us a solid. TV personality and host Jason Carter is keenly aware of this.

"It's a safe space; it's a solace; it's a comfortable blanket that we all need from time to time," Carter says in the latest episode of Positive Vibes Only. "Especially after everything we've been through in the last year, many are finding it hard to adjust to their new normal and what that looks like."

That said, "You can always rely on music to put a smile on your face," Carter says. He then introduces Hillsong Worship, a devout duo who performs its ascendant song, "Hosanna," on voice and piano while shrouded in monochrome.

As the COVID-19 pandemic marks a year around the sun, music has been a primary channel for the grief, suffering and overall malaise many of us feel. Derrial Christon keenly understands this.

"There does seem to be light at the end of the tunnel," the celebrity host, journalist and producer says in this week’s Positive Vibes Only. "But even with that light, we all have to find a place that motivates us and gives us inspiration. Music is that place."

Positive Vibes Only: DOE

To guide us into that space of healing and uplift, gospel singer/songwriter DOE performs her tune "Good Now," about tackling problems by viewing them from a new vantage point.

Marc Scibilia's "Rivals" is where the ego shrinks and lays itself down to something greater.

"Every song that has ever been played/ Every star that has ever been named/ Every dream that will ever come true," he sings, "Nothing ever rivals you." He accompanies these words with a hushed acoustic guitar, lending his song of devotion quiet gravitas.

We're now entering the second March of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite vaccines being rolled out worldwide, many are falling victim to a feeling of hopelessness. To Lewis Howes, gratitude is our sharpest weapon for when we feel ourselves spiraling, gripped by COVID fatigue.

"It's really hard to be anxious, stressed, overwhelmed and angry while you're being grateful," the author, keynote speaker and entrepreneur says in the latest episode of Positive Vibes Only.

Positive Vibes Only: Mali Music

"So, anytime you're feeling those emotions, thoughts or frustrations, focus on something you're so grateful for," he continues. This, he explains, could be as minor as a meal or as major as a transformative experience with a loved one.

Howes then introduces Mali Music, a four-time GRAMMY-nominated gospel-R&B great, who performs his deeply spiritual ode to divine favor, "My Blessings." Mali Music is currently nominated for Best Gospel Performance/Song for his 2020 song "Movin' On," with Jonathan McReynolds, at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards show.
