  • Kimbra released her debut album, Vows, in Australia in 2011. The album was reworked and released in the United States and Europe with additional tracks, including "Come Into My Head," "Warrior" (featuring Mark Foster and DJ A-Trak) as well as a cover of Nina Simone's "Plain Gold Ring." Vows debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200. Kimbra's popularity quickly spread in 2012 after joining forces with Gotye to sing vocals on his smash single, "Somebody That I Used To Know."
     
  • Kimbra won her first career GRAMMYs for 2012 for Record Of The Year and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Somebody That I Used To Know" with Gotye.
