Texas Chapter Governor and GRAMMY Award-winning producer, engineer, and mixer Chris Shaw will be interviewed by former Texas Chapter Trustee David Messier (Same Sky Productions) about Chris's career, which took him from studios in New York to Austin, and what the future holds for Chris and his business in the midst of the pandemic. The conversation will be followed by a short Q&A with the audience.
Chris began his career as an intern at Greene Street Recording while at NYU and eventually rose through the ranks to a position as staff engineer working with influential hip-hop artists including Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, Run DMC, and LL Cool J. He went independent shortly after and has since made records with Weezer, Wilco, Bob Dylan, Jeff Buckley, Sheryl Crow, Death Cab For Cutie, Lou Reed, Bad Brains, Cheap Trick, Joss Stone, The Meat Puppets, Nada Surf, Dashboard Confessional, and many more. He relocated to the Austin-area in 2014.
