"We're All Fans" GRAMMY Campaign Nominated For Webby
The "We're All Fans" website for the advertising campaign created by The Recording Academy and TBWA\Chiat\Day in support of the 52nd GRAMMY Awards has been nominated for a Webby Award in the Best Visual Design — Aesthetic, Best Use Of Online Media and Events & Live Webcasts categories. The site features an interactive fan experience with portraits of GRAMMY-nominated artists composed entirely of real-time, fan-generated YouTube, Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook postings. Fans have until April 29 to vote, with winners scheduled to be announced at a ceremony on June 14 in New York. Established in 1996, the Webby Awards honor excellence on the Internet. (4/13)

Pope Receives Classical Brit Award Nod
Pope Benedict XVI
, whose voice is featured on Alma Mater Featuring The Voice Of Pope Benedict XVI, has been nominated for a Classical Brit Award. The album is nominated in the album of the year category alongside artists such as Camila Kerslake, the Priests and Faryl Smith, among others. The Classical Brit Awards will take place May 13 at Royal Albert Hall in London. (4/13)

Hank Williams Awarded Pulitzer Citation
GRAMMY-winning country artist Hank Williams was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize citation. The award was given in recognition of William's career achievements in music. In other country news, GRAMMY-winning artist George Strait set a Billboard chart record in collecting a Top 10 Country Songs hit for the 30th consecutive year. Strait first reached the Top 10 in 1981 with "Unwound," and his most recent hit "I Gotta Get To You" jumped to No. 9 on this week's chart. (4/13)
