reported sales of digital albums are up 12 percent for the year through Nov. 21, an abated growth compared to a 17 percent increase during the prior-year period, and individual track downloads are flat, up one-tenth of a percent compared to the same period. Collectively, total track sales (albums and individual tracks) are up 5 percent, equaling a gain of 95 million tracks, down from 277 million tracks gained in the previous year. (12/14)

Bieber Tops YouTube's Most-Watched List
Justin Bieber
's "Baby" featuring Ludacris was the most-watched music video on YouTube in 2010, and is now the most-viewed video of all time with more than 400 million views. Shakira's "Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)" was the second most-watched video in 2010, followed by Eminem's "Love The Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna and "Not Afraid," and Rihanna's "Rude Boy." Aguilera, Menken, Underwood Among Golden Globe Nominees
GRAMMY winners Christina Aguilera, Alan Menken, Trent Reznor, Carrie Underwood, and Hans Zimmer are among the nominees for the 68th annual Golden Globe Awards to be held Jan. 16 in Los Angeles. Aguilera, Menken and Underwood received nominations in the Best Original Song — Motion Picture category for their songs in the films Burlesque, Tangled and Chronicles Of Narnia: The Voyage Of The Dawn Treader, respectively. Reznor (The Social Network) and Zimmer (Inception) earned nominations in the Best Original Score — Motion Picture category. Additional music-related nominees include Alexandre Desplat, Tom Douglas, Danny Elfman, A.R. Rahman, and Diane Warren, among others. (12/14)
