The Beatles: 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award Acceptance

The Recording Academy honored the 2014 Special Merit Awards recipients at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony & Nominees Reception on Jan. 25 in Los Angeles. Among this year's Lifetime Achievement Award recipients were the Beatles. On hand to accept the award were Ringo Starr and Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison, who spoke on behalf of the late John Lennon and the late George Harrison, respectively.

Also honored at the ceremony were fellow Lifetime Achievement Award recipients Clifton Chenier, the Isley Brothers, Kraftwerk, Kris Kristofferson, Armando Manzanero, and Maud Powell; Trustees Award honorees Rick Hall, Jim Marshall and Ennio Morricone; and Technical GRAMMY Award receipients Emile Berliner and Lexicon.
