Rick Rubin Saluted By P&E Wing, Peers

GRAMMY-winning producer Rick Rubin was honored at the Producers & Engineers Wing's 9th Annual GRAMMY Week celebration on Feb. 11 at The Village studios in Los Angeles. Rubin was presented with The Recording Academy's President's Merit Award by Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow in recognition of his "talent, innovation, uncompromising standards, and commitment to sonic excellence." Attendees included recording industry luminaries such as Chris Lord-Alge, Peter Asher, Jimmy Jam, and Elliot Scheiner and artists such as current nominees Josh Groban and Lana Del Rey. Performing at the event were rapper/author Kate Tempest and singer/songwriter Colter Wall.
