Singer/songwriter and Bangles co-founder Susanna Hoffs recently participated in an installment of the GRAMMY Museum's The Drop series. Before an intimate audience at the Museum's Clive Davis Theater, Hoffs discussed the creative process behind her latest solo album, Someday, and performed a set of songs from the album, including "Always Enough," "November Sun" and "Raining."

"I think I've been attempting to make this record for something like 15 years," said Hoffs regarding Someday. "But I kept getting waylaid along the way. It was a series of amazing circumstances that brought me together with the players on this record."

A native of Los Angeles, Hoffs co-founded the Bangles in the early '80s with sisters Debbie and Vicki Peterson. The Bangles hits include songs such as "Manic Monday," "Walk Like An Egyptian," "In Your Room," and "Eternal Flame," the latter of which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was co-written by Hoffs, Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg. The Bangles released their most recent album, Sweetheart Of The Sun, in 2011. As a solo artist, Hoffs released her debut solo album, When You're A Boy, in 1991, and her sophomore effort, Susanna Hoffs, in 1996. More recently, she collaborated with singer/songwriter Matthew Sweet on a pair of covers albums, Under The Covers Vol. 1 (2006) and Under The Covers Vol. 2 (2009), re-examining hits from the '60s and '70s.

Produced and orchestrated by Mitchell Froom (Sheryl Crow, Paul McCartney, Bonnie Raitt), Someday spans 10 songs, eight of which were co-written by Hoffs and Nashville native Andrew Brassell. The album also includes "Raining," a song originally written with Mike Campbell of Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers in 1989. The album's lead single is "Picture Me." Hoffs will launch a tour in support of Someday Oct. 29 in Atlanta.
