DJ/artist/producer Sam Shacklock aka SOSA was a performer at the recent GRAMMY Block Party & Membership Celebration hosted by The Recording Academy Nashville Chapter. During the event, Shacklock participated in an interview with GRAMMY.com to discuss his first concert experience, the Nashville electronic music scene and his advice for aspiring artists, among other topics.

"[My advice is] listen to people who have been around the block," says Shacklock. "You should always be willing to take advice and be open."

Within the last decade, Shacklock has emerged as a force on the Nashville music scene, producing, mixing and engineering tracks of his own and for other artists. Sam & Tre,  SOSA's "electro glitch hip-hop" duo with Tre, released a 12-song self-titled album in 2011. That same year, he partnered with KDSML to release a six-song EP, Shack Attack. In 2012 Shacklock collaborated with Yelawolf, producing the track "Satellites."
