The Latin Recording Academy, Eventus and Univision have announced the schedule and talent roster for the upcoming 2012 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties. Celebrating its 10th year, the six-city cross-country festival will lead up to the XIII Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards telecast on Nov. 15 in Las Vegas.
Kicking off Sept. 30 in Chicago, the tour will make stops in top Hispanic communities across the country, including Houston (Oct. 7), Dallas (Oct. 14) and Los Angeles on (Oct. 21). For the first time in its history, the Latin GRAMMY Street Parties will visit San Jose, Calif., (Oct. 28), before finishing the celebration in Miami (Nov. 4).

"Our continued partnership with Eventus has allowed us to create an annual event that brings spectacular talent to major cities across the country and promotes our universal appreciation of Latin music. The Latin GRAMMY Street Parties capture the excitement surrounding the Latin GRAMMY Awards by offering an interactive traveling musical festival for Hispanics, which includes live entertainment, sponsor display areas and product sampling. The series features performances by some of Latin music's established artists, while serving as a launching platform for emerging talent representing various genres, including reggaeton, regional Mexican, pop, rock en español, and tropical, among others.
The 2012 Latin GRAMMY Street Parties are presented by McDonald's and 7UP. Its official sponsor, Las Vegas, will give away a VIP trip to the destination giving lucky fans the opportunity to experience the XIII Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards ceremony live. Registration for the giveaway will be available at Latin GRAMMY Street Parties in Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Miami. Additional sponsors include Paul Mitchell, onboard as a partner sponsor in select markets introducing its latest product innovation, Paul Mitchell Curls, and Post Honey Bunches of Oats cereals.
The XIII Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards will be held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas and will be broadcast live on the Univision Network on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central.
