- GRAMMY Live
On April 2 singer/songwriter Josh Krajcik released his debut solo album, Blindly, Lonely, Lovely. In conjunction with the album's release, GRAMMY.com has your first look at the premiere of the live acoustic performance video for the song "Close Your Eyes."
"More than anything, I wanted this music to be honest," Krajcik said. "Over the years I definitely had a few of those moments where you're doubting yourself and you wonder, 'Should I just give it all up?' But at the same, I really don't know what else I could have tried to be."
A native of Wooster, Ohio, Krajcik decided to pursue a career in music after a debut performance in his hometown at age 16. He subsequently fronted several musical projects, including the blues/rock trio the Josh Krajcik Band, with whom he toured in support of GRAMMY winner Corinne Bailey Rae and the Fray. The band released two albums: 2005's Ghosts and 2011's Atavistic. In 2011 Krajcik auditioned for "The X Factor" and placed second in the show's finale.
Co-produced by GRAMMY-nominated producer Eg White (Adele), Blindly, Lonely, Lovely features 10 tracks, including "Close Your Eyes" and the single "Back Where We Belong," which was released in March. Krajcik is currently scheduled to perform select U.S. dates in June.
