Houston, Lopez, iPhone 5 Among Yahoo's Most Searched In 2012
Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez and Apple's iPhone 5 were among Yahoo's top 10 searches in 2012. At No. 10, interest for Lopez was spurred by the release of a compilation album and a headlining tour in 2012, as well as her divorce from Marc Anthony. Ranking No. 6, searches for Houston were driven by the GRAMMY winner’s death on Feb. 11, one day prior to the 54th GRAMMY Awards. Coming in at No. 2, iPhone 5 tallied more than 5 million sales within three days of its late September launch. Yahoo's top search in 2012 was the word "elections."
Gregg Allman, Mike Love, Neal Schon Among Music's Most Divorced
Proving he was indeed born a ramblin' man, Gregg Allman is among the unlucky at love list of musicians with the most divorces, according to a Huffington Post report. Allman, whose former wives include Cher, has been divorced six times, though that did not stop his recent engagement to 24-year-old Shannon Williams. "This time I'm really in love," said Allman. Jerry Lee Lewis has proven he is not only a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, he's also a marriage hall of famer. The legendary pianist married wife No. 7, Judith Brown, in March. The Beach Boys' Mike Love has four former surfer girls, though it looks like he found true love the fifth time around with Jacqueline Piesen, with whom he has been married since 1994. Neal Schon is hoping for similar luck with wife No. 5. The Journey guitarist, who has been divorced four times, recently proposed to White House party crasher Michaele Salahi onstage at a concert, with the band breaking into the tear-jerking power ballad "Faithfully" afterward. The lesson here? If at first you don't succeed in love, try, try again.
