Concord Sold To Wood Creek Capital Management
Village Roadshow Entertainment Group is selling indie label Concord Music Group to Connecticut-based private equity firm Wood Creek Capital Management for an estimated $125 million, according to a Billboard.biz report. Glen Barros will remain president and CEO of Concord, whose roster includes GRAMMY winners Alison Krauss, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Esperanza Spalding, and James Taylor, among others. The sale is expected to close within days.

Who Hasn’t Tommy Chong Smoked With?
Actor (and "weed master") Tommy Chong has burned a few with many celebrities (he did star in 1978's Up In Smoke after all), but when it comes to four of the most fabulous stars (the Beatles), who hasn’t Chong lit up with? "I have never smoked with Paul McCartney," revealed Chong in a recent interview with TMZ. "I've smoked with every Beatle except Paul." But Chong hasn't given up hope. "One day, Paul, you and I are gonna burn one," he said.
