FYI …

Swift Scores Red-Hot Debut
GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift's Red debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 1.208 million units sold, marking the largest sales tally for an album in a single week since Eminem's The Eminem Show sold 1.3 million units in 2002, according to Billboard.biz. Swift earned the second-largest sales frame for a female artist, behind Britney Spears, whose Oops! … I Did It Again debuted with 1.319 million units in 2000. Swift is the only female artist with two albums to reach the 1 million sales mark in a single week, following Speak Now, which premiered with 1.047 million units in 2010. In other news, GRAMMY winner Brad Paisley was named the ASCAP Country Music Songwriter/Artist of the Year at the organization's 50th Annual Country Music Awards on Oct. 29 in Nashville. Ben Hayslip was named Country Music Songwriter of the Year.

John Lennon's Tooth Tour
File this under: things that are hard to imagine. The tooth of a former Beatle is going on a magical mystery tour of its own. In an effort to promote oral cancer awareness, one of John Lennon's pearly whites will visit 16 dental offices in the UK in celebration of November's Mouth Cancer Action Month. A portion of the tooth, which was recently purchased at auction by author, dentist and celebrity tooth collector (yes, those exist) Michael Zuk, has been turned into a necklace named John Lennon DNA. The necklace was designed by Beverly Hills, Calif., jewelry designer Ari Soffer and is valued at $25,000. If the price is too rich for your blood, you may want to enlist a little help from your friends.
