The finalists of the 2014 Entertainment Law Initiative Writing Competition will be honored at the GRAMMY Foundation's 16th Annual Entertainment Law Initiative Luncheon & Scholarship Presentation, which will take place Jan. 24 at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. A cash scholarship of $5,000 will be presented to the author of the winning paper with $1,500 awarded to each of the four runners-up. Each finalist will receive airfare, hotel accommodations and a ticket to the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, as well as invitations to other GRAMMY Week activities.

Additionally, the GRAMMY Week event will feature a keynote address by Robert Kyncl, head of content and business operations at YouTube. Don Passman, a partner in the law firm of Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown Inc., will be the recipient of the 2014 Service Award, which honors an attorney who has demonstrated a commitment to advancing and supporting the music community through service.
The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards will take place live on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The telecast also will be supported on radio worldwide via WestwoodOne, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com.
