Previous wins: Swift has four prior GRAMMY Awards: Album Of The Year and Best Country Album for Fearless, and Best Country Song and Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "White Horse" (2009)

Did you know?: "Mean" is featured on Swift's third studio album, 2010's Speak Now. The album features 14 songs, all written by Swift. Swift has said the inspiration for "Mean" came in response to a review by an unnamed "critic." The music video for the song takes an antibullying stance, with scenes including a girl being shunned by a popular crowd at school. In a further testimony to its positive message, "Mean" was used for the "Free Falling To End Bullying" campaign in conjunction with the Anderson Center for Autism. "Honestly, this song [has] been so close to my heart, and it was a song that I wrote when I was really, really hurting and going through a lot," Swift said backstage at this year's GRAMMYs.
