Previous wins: Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' four GRAMMY wins this year marked the first wins of their respective careers.

Did you know?: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were among the top winners at the 56th GRAMMY Awards, with four GRAMMYs each. In addition to their wins for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance for "Thrift Shop" featuring Wanz, the Seattle natives also won Best Rap Album for The Heist and were crowned Best New Artist. Released independently, The Heist reached No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Lewis was Macklemore's photographer before he became his DJ and producer. The duo performed their hit "Same Love," from The Heist, with Madonna, Mary Lambert, Trombone Shorty, and Queen Latifah on the 56th GRAMMY telecast on Jan. 26. Thirty-three couples were married during the performance.
