Artist: Adele

Won for: Best Pop Solo Performance

Previous wins: Adele has eight prior GRAMMY wins

Did you know?: Adele's live version of "Set Fire To The Rain" is taken from her DVD/CD set Adele Live At The Royal Albert Hall. The studio version of the song, co-written by Fraser T. Smith, appears on Adele's 2011 album 21. This marks the second consecutive year in which Adele has won for Best Pop Solo Performance. Adele won six awards at last year's 54th GRAMMY Awards, matching Beyoncé's record for the most GRAMMYs won in one night by a female artist and Eric Clapton's record for most GRAMMYs won in one night by a British artist. Adele's wins last year included Record and Song Of The Year honors for "Rolling In The Deep" and Album Of The Year for 21. Adele is tied with Jay-Z and Kanye West for the most GRAMMYs won in this decade with seven. She won her first two GRAMMYs in 2008, including Best New Artist. Adding another award to her résumé, Adele won Best Original Song for "Skyfall" (with GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer Paul Epworth) at the 85th Annual Academy Awards on Feb. 24.
