"We Are The World" To Premiere Feb. 12
The song and video for the 25th anniversary remake of "We Are The World" will premiere Feb. 12 during NBC's coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics' opening ceremony. The song was recorded Feb. 1 in Los Angeles and featured 75 artists including Celine Dion, Jonas Brothers, Carlos Santana, Barbra Streisand, and Kanye West, among others. Proceeds from the song and video will benefit Haiti relief through the We Are The World Foundation, a new nonprofit organization featuring board members Wyclef Jean, Quincy Jones, AEG Live President/CEO Randy Phillips, and Lionel Richie. Warner Music Group Posts $17 Million Q1 Loss
Warner Music Group reported a $17 million first-quarter loss, compared to a $23 million loss in the prior-year quarter. Despite the loss, the company posted a 3.5 percent increase in revenue to $918 million, with digital revenue totaling $184 million, a 7.6 percent increase from the prior-year quarter. (2/9)

Bronikowski To Head Yahoo Music
Former Universal Music Group executive Jeff Bronikowski will head Yahoo Music, according to a Billboard.biz report. Bronikowski, who most recently served as UMG's senior vice president of global digital initiatives before leaving in January 2009, replaces Michael Spiegelman, who will now head product development for Yahoo Music's entertainment group.
