U2 Tops Billboard Money Makers List
U2 topped Billboard's 2010 Money Makers list with revenue of $108.6 million from physical and download sales, publishing royalties and touring during the past calendar year. Bruce Springsteen placed second with $57.6 million and rounding out the top five were Madonna with $47.2 million, AC/DC with $43.6 million, and Britney Spears with $38.9 million. Other artists appearing on the list include Beyoncé, Bob Dylan, Jonas Brothers, Kings Of Leon, Kiss, Metallica, Paul McCartney, and Taylor Swift, among others. (3/1)

Revived New York Jazz Festival To Honor Hancock
GRAMMY-winning artist Herbie Hancock will be honored during a 70th birthday celebration concert on June 24 at the CareFusion Jazz Festival in New York. The concert, "Herbie Hancock, Seven Decades: The Birthday Celebration," will feature trumpeter Terence Blanchard, comedian Bill Cosby and saxophonist Wayne Shorter, and will benefit the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. The summer festival, which has been revived by producer George Wein after a year hiatus, will take place June 17–26 and feature 45 concerts. (3/1)
