Twitter Tops 145 Million Users
Twitter has topped more than 145 million registered users, according to CEO Evan Williams. The number of mobile users on Twitter has grown 62 percent since mid-April and among new users to the site. Of the registered users, 78 percent are using Twitter.com, 14 percent use Twitter's mobile website, 8 percent tweet through text messages, 8 percent use Twitter for iPhone, and 7 percent access Twitter through Research in Motion's BlackBerry. GRAMMY winners Brooks & Dunn closed out a 20-year career at the Bridgestone Arena on Sept. 2 in Nashville, Tenn., performing the final show on their Last Rodeo tour, which doubled as a fundraiser for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. "Rock Band" To Include Snoop Dogg
GRAMMY-nominated artist Snoop Dogg will become the first rap artist to be featured in "Rock Band," which already includes songs from AC/DC, Green Day, Jimi Hendrix, and the Who. Eight tracks from the artist will be available in the "Rock Band" music store starting Sept. 7, including "Drop It Like It's Hot," "Who Am I (What's My Name)?" and "Sensual Seduction." (9/3)
